MRS. RIOS

Mrs. Rios is the founder of Image Academy and a dedicated teacher with deep roots in the beauty industry. She has worked in the field for 14 years, and she has spent 8 of those years teaching and mentoring others. Outside of work, she is a proud wife, a mom of two, and the owner of two dogs. She was born in Mexico City and loves to travel and explore new beauty trends. That passion led her to open a beauty school in Houston, where she could train and support the next wave of cosmetology artists.

We believe quality beauty education should be open to everyone, no matter their background. Our goal is to send you out with the skills and the confidence to do great work in a fast-moving industry. We teach a full range of programs, so our graduates leave ready to serve their community and build a career they are proud of. I Went here for my license to become a Lash Tech, the school staff and specially Mrs.Rios is amazing and very helpful! I had Ms. Dias as my teacher and would recommend her 💯, she is very kind and knowledgeable about her craft! The environment of the class and school is very friendly and would highly recommend this place for any one looking to become an aesthetician or a lash tech!

I’ve had such an amazing experience at this school thanks to my esthetics instructor and my lash instructor! Both of them are incredibly talented, patient, and passionate about what they do. My esthetics teacher made learning skincare and beauty feel exciting and easy to understand, always creating a positive and supportive environment. My lash instructor was equally amazing, taking the time to help every student improve with confidence and attention to detail. They both truly care about their students’ success and always encourage us to grow professionally and personally. I want to take a moment to highly recommend Image Academy because my experience there was truly amazing. I was a student there, and I can honestly say I learned so much—not just professionally, but personally as well.

From day one, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. They really make you feel at home, like it’s your second family. The staff is always willing to help, teach with patience, and motivate you to be your best.

How long does it take to finish cosmetology school in Houston?

Most students at Image Academy finish the cosmetology program in about six months of full-time study. Your timeline depends on your schedule and attendance. Reach out, and we will map a start date and a finish date that works for you.

How much does beauty school cost at Image Academy?

Tuition depends on the program you pick and any current payment plans. We are glad to walk you through the costs with zero pressure.

What is the difference between an esthetician and a cosmetologist?

A cosmetologist trains across hair, skin, and nails. An esthetician focuses only on skin, including facials and skincare treatments. If skincare is your passion, the esthetician path gets you there faster. If you want the widest set of options, cosmetology is the way to go.

Do I need a license to work as a lash tech or nail tech in Texas?

Yes. Texas requires the proper state license before you can work professionally. Our programs are designed to prepare you for the state exam so you can get licensed and start earning.

Where is Image Academy located, and when are you open?

We are at 14520 Memorial Dr #45, Houston, TX 77079. We are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. We are closed on Sunday.
